Equipment Reconditioning
Process
Receiving
Every piece of equipment arrives at the receiving department
where it is subjected to a visual examination to determine
cosmetic defects, missing components, and other visible problems.
The receiving personnel then complete a total inventory of
the system and prepare the equipment for a complete cosmetic
upgrade.
Diagnostic Testing
Next, the equipment is sent to diagnostics, where trained
and certified technicians perform more than fifteen standardized
test procedures. At the component level, testing is completed
on each component to determine its working condition. At this
point, the equipment goes through two hours of simulated use
or until the diagnostic technicians are satisfied that all
malfunctions have been identified. The testing is done with
actual telecommunication products that simulate various applications
of the product.
Repair Lab
Once the condition of the equipment is thoroughly diagnosed,
it is sent to the Repair Lab where each problem is repaired.
Components found to be faulty are replaced by new components
that meet or exceed original equipment specifications. Repair
Lab technicians again evaluate the equipment to identify potential
errors that the Diagnostics might have missed.
Quality Control
Once the equipment leaves the Repair Lab, it undergoes even
more extensive testing in the Quality Control Department.
Virtually every component is again tested, and the equipment
undergoes a minimum burn in for a period of twenty-four hours.
In some cases, the equipment is burned in for a long as a
week so that the quality specialists are assured it will function
reliably in the workplace.
Preparation and Shipping
As the final step in the process, the equipment is skillfully
readied for shipment by carefully packaging it and logging
system and components serial numbers into inventory. The end
result of this highly customized process is a completely refurbished
piece of equipment which is at least as good as new equipment,
and comes with a "One Hundred Percent Satisfaction Guarantee"
and 90 day warranty on parts. (12 month extended warranties
are available upon request).
