Model 70

A Small-Sized System with Industrial-Strength Functionality

Centigram Logo

The way we do business has changed. Today's businesses are smaller and leaner. To stay competitive they need to use their resources more creatively, especially their information systems. Unfortunately, smaller systems often provide leaner functionality, forcing businesses to choose between cost and feature capabilities.

The Series 6 Model 70 gives customers the best of both worlds. An entry-level system designed for smaller sites, the Model 70 offers the same features and functions as higher capacity Series 6 models, but in a smaller, cost-effective package.

Because Centigram employs a single user interface and the same operating system for all Series 6 models, the Model 70 is ideal for small businesses and multi-site enterprises that want to network large and small systems at multiple sites. Since all Series 6 models incorporate the same high-density analog and digital port connectivity, the Model 70 provides the same speed and power formerly available only on larger Centigram systems.

And to meet the needs of small but growing businesses, the Model 70 allows customers to migrate easily to the larger Model 120I/S and the Model 640.

MIRROR IMAGES: REDUNDANCY AND RELIABILITY

The Model 70 uses integrated drive electronics (IDE) technology to integrate controller functions into the disk assembly, making an interface card unnecessary. Hard drive redundancy ensures that no system data is lost -- even if one of the drives is removed from service. A primary drive and its redundant partner function as "mirror images" of each other; when a drive is put back into service, it automatically synchronizes itself with its "partner." As a result hard drive redundancy enhances system availability.

THE KINDEST CUT OF ALL

The Model 70 provides a powerful, feature-rich soiution for today's leaner businesses. And by incorporating computer telephony integration (CTI) and digital signal processing (DSP) technology today, the Model 70 positions customers to implement advanced applications such as text-to-speech and voice recognition tomorrow.

The Model 70 offers the same features and functions as higher capacity Series 6 models, but in a smaller cost-effective package.
